Charles L. Rudd Jr., 35, passed away at 4:29pm on Wednesday, October 26, 2011, at Alton Memorial Hospital. He was born on October 29, 1975, in Alton the son of Charles L. and Terri (Hurst) Rudd Sr.. He married the former Jody Melton on May 15, 2001 in Carlinville, Illinois and she survives. Other survivors include his father and step -mother: Charles and Sherri Rudd Sr. of Roxana, his mother: Terri Rogers of Cottage Hills, three sons: Tyler Melton, Devin Rudd, Brenden Rudd all of the home, three sisters: Toni Rudd and her companion: Justin Austin of Cottage Hills, Aimee Ponder of Collinsville, Jenna Rudd of Roxana, four brothers and a sister in law: Brett Rudd of Belleville, Terry Rudd of Alton, Bryan and Torzetta Rudd of Alton, Josh Rudd of Roxana, his maternal grandfather: Ralph Hurst of Alton, and several nieces and nephews.

He was formerly employed at Elmwood Nursing and Rehab in Maryville in the maintenance department.

He was preceded in death by one son: James Foster Rudd, his paternal grandparents: Charles and Vivian Rudd, his maternal grandmother: Della Heaton, and one nephew: Charles M. Rudd - Austin.

In celebration of his life, memorial visitation will be from 4pm until time of memorial services at 7pm on Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at Pitchford Funeral Home in Wood River. Captain Randy Tooley will officiate.
