Angela Denise (Harshbarger) McBride, 56, passed away at 1:50 pm on Friday, November 14, 2025, at Missouri Baptist Hospital with her family by her side. Angie was born on December 28, 1968, in Alton, the daughter of Wanda (Bess) Harshbarger of Cottage Hills and the late Richard Harshbarger. A member of Civic Memorial Bethalto Class of 1987, Angela married her high school sweetheart, Harold McBride “Goober” on June 12, 1993, in Wood River, and he survives. Also surviving are their four children: Aryne (Greg Kruckeberg) of Wood River, Abby (Justin Stewart) McBride of Edwardsville, Jacob (Jaela Washington) McBride of Maryland Heights, Missouri, and Lucas McBride of Dow, four grandchildren: Kaden, Conner, Kameron, and Tucker, two sisters: Tracey Harshbarger of Granite City, Amy Harshbarger of Cottage Hills, two brothers: Richard “Bo” Harshbarger of Cottage Hills, Steve (Alana) Harshbarger of Granite City, her mother in law: Vivian Faye Goheen of Cottage Hills, a maternal aunt & 2nd mother: Brenda Hammond of Brighton, many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family & friends.

Angela was a former LPN at Village North Manor Nursing Home in Florissant and St. Sophia in Florissant.

A celebration of Mrs. McBride’s life will be held from 1pm to 3pm on Sunday, December 7, 2025, at Pitchford Funeral Home in Wood River.

In lieu of flowers, memorials for the McBride family are much appreciated and will be accepted at the funeral home.
