Anna Marie Cooper

Bethalto: Anna Marie Cooper, 92, passed away at 7:15am on Sunday, August 15, 2021, at Riverside of Alton. She was born on May 26, 1929, in Cherryville, Missouri, the daughter of the late William and Martha (Harris) Pyatt. She married Harold D. Cooper on November 25, 1949, in St. Louis, and he preceded her in death on February 21, 1986. Survivors include three daughters and two sons in law: Joyce Koprivica of Bethalto, Evelyn and Tom Barraco of Shell Knob, Missouri, Zena and Rick Warren of South Roxana, two sons and a daughter in law: Dennis and Kathy Cooper of Shell Knob, Missouri, Ron Cooper of South Roxana, nine grandchildren, a special granddaughter who was her caretaker: Dani, several great grandchildren, a sister: Irma Anderson of Chandler, Oklahoma, two brothers and a sister in law: Leo Pyatt of Sullivan, Missouri, Garland and Linda Pyatt of St. James, Missouri, many nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends. Anna was employed for over twenty years at VIP Manor Nursing Home in Wood River where she worked as a housekeeper and worked in the laundry department. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister. In celebration of her life, private family graveside services were held at 1pm on Tuesday, August 17, 2021, at Wanda Cemetery in South Roxana.
