Anthony "Tony" S. Mormino, 82, passed away at 10:12pm on Saturday, March 30, 2013, at Progress West Health Care in O'Fallon, Missouri. He was born on September 13, 1930, in Wood River, Illinois the son of the late Liborio and Mamie (DiPasquale) Mormino. He married the former Minnie Tupper on January 22, 1962, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri and she survives. Other survivors include two daughters and a son in law: Beth Mormino of St. Charles, Missouri, CeCe and Geoffrey Himstedt of Affton, Missouri, two sons and daughters in law: Paul and Brandy Mormino of Bethalto, Scott and Lisa Mormino of Wood River, six grandchildren: Hannah Mormino, Claire Himstedt, Sam Himstedt, Jack Himstedt, Brynleigh Mormino, Peyton Mormino, two sisters in law and brothers in law: Vickie and Mike Johnson of Roxana, Rhonda and Terry Jackson of Olive Branch, Illinois, and several nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends. He was formerly employed for the United States Postal Service for over 30 years prior to his retirement. He was a member of St. Kevin's Catholic Church in Rosewood Heights for over 40 years. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son: John Louis Mormino, two sisters: Stella Huch, Josephine Stewart, and one brother: Angelo Mormino. In celebration of his life, a memorial mass will be celebrated at 10am on Friday, April 5, 2013, at Holy Angels Parish in Wood River. Father James Flach will be the celebrant. Memorials are suggested to the St. Vincent DePaul Society.
