Bart Reese

Bart M. Reese, 52, passed away at 2:10pm on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, in St. Louis. He was born on February 12, 1974, in Alton, the son of the late Charles “Bunky” and Sandra (Manns) Reese. Survivors include his children: Taylor Wilkerson of Eureka, Missouri, Alexzander Reese of Portland, Oregon, Ashley Page and her husband: Ryan of Ohio, Katie Wheeler of Florida, Joshua (Jaelyn Schulte) Reese of Jerseyville, two step daughters: Mackenzie Grant of Sedalia, Missouri, Shawna McPherson and her husband: Jason of Fayetteville, North Carolina, eight grandchildren, a sister: Kimberly Cruz of Carlyle, Illinois, his best friends who were like brothers to him: Pat Cummines, Rick Plumb, Carl Brackett his best friends: Bobbie Rhoades of Sedalia, Missouri, and Michelle Plumb of Alton, many nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.

Bart was employed as a truck driver from Turner Services and drove trucks for thirty – five years. Bart loved racing, riding his Harley Davidson, loved going to bike fest at the Lake of the Ozarks, and camping.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son: Brody Reese, and a sister: Barbara Griffin.

In celebration of his life, visitation will be from 4:30pm to 7:30pm on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at Pitchford Funeral Home in Wood River.

Memorials are suggested to the family with checks payable to Josh Reese and will be accepted at the funeral home.
