Beverly A. Bishop

Girard: Beverly A. Bishop, 71, passed away at 8:16pm Tuesday, December 7, 2021, at her residence. She was born on September 28, 1950, in Taylorville, the daughter of the late Richard Dale and Jessie Mae (Skinner) Pruitt. She married Steven Bishop on June 3, 1967, in Taylorville, and he survives. Other survivors include her children: Shawn Cox and her companion: Mike Higginson, Shelly and Todd Hatalla, Shane and Carmen Bishop, Shad and Michelle Bishop, her grandchildren: Kyle (Ashley) Cox, Kati (Kyle) Violet, Savannah Bishop, Andrew Wolfe, Hunter Bishop, Colby Bishop, Audrey Bishop, three great grandchildren: Mason, Mychaela, Marie, and many other extended family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death two brothers: Rex Pruitt and Roger Pruitt. A celebration of her life will be held from 12pm to 3pm on Sunday, December 19, 2021, at the Girard Community Center.
