Bobby S. Crepps

Bethalto: Bobby S. Crepps, 81, passed away at 4:45pm on Sunday, February 14, 2016, at his residence. He was born on July 12, 1934, in Westport, Tennessee, the son of the late Glenn and Mattie (Boyd) Crepps. He married Betty Davis on June 18, 1977, in Godfrey and she survives. Other survivors include one daughter and son in law: Rhonda and Ronald Gill of Lincoln, Illinois, one granddaughter: Julia Rook of Wood River, three great – grandchildren: Eli Samuel Gayan, Julianna Denise Gayan, Raeann Beckham, and one brother: Glenn Crepps Jr. of Carlinville. He was formerly employed at the Alton Box Board as a millwright for 47 years prior to his retirement in 1998. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles Aerie #254 of Alton, the Alton Moose Lodge #951, and the Bethalto Masonic Lodge A.F. & A.M. #406 where he twice served as Past Master. He served as District Deputy Grand Master for Southern District 1. He was a honorary member of the Wood River Masonic Lodge #1062 A.F. & A.M., the Bunker Hill Masonic Lodge #151, the Piasa Masonic Lodge #27, and the Mt. Nebo Masonic Lodge #76 A.F. & A.M. He was a member of the Scottish Rite, York Right, and Shrine Club. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter: Denise Ann Rook. In celebration of his life, memorial visitation will be from 2pm to 4pm on Friday, February 19, 2016, at Pitchford Funeral Home in Wood River with Masonic Rites by the Bethalto Masonic Lodge #406 A.F. & A.M. at 4pm. Memorials are suggested to Shriners Hospitals for Children or the Bethalto Masonic Lodge #406 A.F. & A.M.
