Cottage Hills: Bobby J. McNealy, 82, passed away at 6:15pm on Saturday, September 27, 2014, at his residence. He was born on September 20, 1932, in Malden, Missouri the son of the late Jule and Irene (Vandegriff) McNealy. He married the former Pauline Copeland on January 3, 1958 in Cottage Hills and she survives. Other survivors include three sons and daughters in law: Brian and Vicky McNealy of Hillsboro, Illinois, Christopher and Jennisha McNealy of Waterloo, Illinois, Rev. Matthew and Stephanie McNealy of New Douglas, Illinois, his grandchildren: Bobbie Jo, Ashley, Christina, Christopher, Zachary, Colleen, Ben, Mattie, Shamus, Adeline, one great granddaughter: Olive, his sisters: Opal Holt, Shirley Cunningham, Dorothy Hicks, Judy Hallbrook, and Pat Johnson. He was formerly employed at Sidney Arst Scrap Yard for 30 years prior to his retirement. He is a member of First Baptist Church of Forest Homes. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother: Marion McNealy, and two sisters: Mildred Branch, and Lavone Smith. In celebration of his life, visitation will be from 9am until time of funeral services at 11am on Wednesday, October 1, 2014, at Pitchford Funeral Home in Wood River. Pastors Brian McNealy and Matthew McNealy will officiate. Burial will follow at Woodburn Cemetery in Woodburn, Illinois. Memorials are suggested to First Baptist Church of Forest Homes.
