Brittany S. Witt, 44, passed away on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at her mom’s residence in Bethalto, Illinois. She was born on July 17, 1982, in Alton, Illinois to Paul and Becky (Schmittling) Witt. Survivors include her dad and step – mom: Paul and Dana Witt of Fosterburg, Illinois, her mom and step - dad: Becky and Terry Armas of Bethalto, two sisters and brothers in law: Jennifer and Mark Cherry of Waterloo, Illinois, Taylor and Brian Hinnen of Fosterburg, Illinois, four brothers and two sisters in law: Nicholas and Stephanie Armas of Tullahoma, Tennessee, Joshua Earp of Los Angeles, California, Jonathan and Rachel Witt of Moro, Illinois, and Joel Witt of Fosterburg, Illinois. Along with several nieces and nephews: Kayla McCain, Dale McCain, Max Armas, Owen Armas, Wyatt Earp, Ellis Hinnen, and Paul Hinnen.
She was a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University where Brittany obtained her Bachelor in Science of Nursing. She was a Registered Nurse with SSM where she was a Critical Care Registered Nurse, and was a Trauma Certified Registered Nurse. More recently, she worked as a nurse in the cancer navigation department at St. Louis University Hospital.
She enjoyed scuba diving, boating, sea life, seafood, was an avid reader, rescuing elderly dogs, travelling, and passionate about coral reef restoration. One of her biggest joys was playing with her nieces and nephews. She attended Connect Church in South Roxana.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents: Marion and Aileen Witt and her maternal grandparents: David and Patricia Schmittling.
In accordance with her wishes, cremation rites will be accorded and no services are scheduled.
