Carl R. Hokenson

Godfrey: Carl R. Hokenson, 80, passed away at 11:55pm on Thursday, September 27, 2018, at Barnes – Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. He was born on May 17, 1938, in Alton, the son of the late Chester L. and Marie (Farlow) Hokenson. Survivors include two daughters and sons in law: Tracey and Todd Sorgea of Wood River, Carla and Brant McCance of Alton, five grandchildren: Skylar Vinson and her husband: Corey, Sterlyng McCance, Sawyer McCance, Eeriell Sorgea, Blake Sorgea, and one brother: Harold Hokenson. Carl was employed at Olin Corp. as an inspector in the cupping lab for over thirty years. He was a member of the Machinists Union. He was a veteran of the United States Army. In celebration of his life, memorial visitation will be from 9am until time of memorial services at 11am on Thursday, October 11, 2018, at Pitchford Funeral Home. Walter McCaslin will officiate. Private inurnment will be at a later date. Memorials are suggested to the Restore Network, 3993 Fosterburg Road, Alton, Illinois 62002, and will be accepted at the funeral home.
