Carlton Lewis "Bud" Bradford

Pontoon Beach: Carlton Lewis “Bud” Bradford, 73, formerly of South Roxana, passed away at 10:05am on Sunday, September 11, 2016, at his residence. He was born on November 27, 1942, in Decatur, Illinois, the son of the late Louis F. and Blanche (Garrett) Bradford. He married the former Barbara Heiserman on December 16, 1972, in Roxana, and she preceded him in death on November 6, 2009. Survivors include his children: Justine Leverett and husband Rick Leverett, James Kendig, Charmagne and husband Don Selph, Lewis Bradford and his companion: Paula Barton, and Thomas Bradford and his companion Janet, four grandchildren: Pauletta Kendig, Savannah Loeffen and husband David Loeffen, Kawliga (KJ) Leverett and wife Krystle Leverett, and Tabatha Hardester, eleven great grandchildren, one brother: Robert Bradford and one sister: Samantha Bradford. He was employed at Olin Brass as an operator for over 30 years prior to his retirement. In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death one brother Thomas Bradford. Graveside services will be held at 10am on Wednesday, September 14, 2016, at the chapel at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the American Heart Association.
