Alton: Carol Ann Moss, 77, passed away at 6:24pm on Wednesday, March 16, 2016, at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis. She was born on February 27, 1939, in Edwardsville, Illinois, the daughter of the late Neal and Helen (Willman) Dugger. Survivors include five daughters and four sons in law: Debi and Steve Vollmer of Rosewood Heights, Diane and Dana Foster of Moro, Shari Ridenhour of Wood River, Kimmie and Michael Terry of Brighton, Teresa and Todd Black of Houston, Texas, two sons and daughter in law: Rocky Rhodes of Wood River, Craig and Crystal Moss of Roxana, twenty-two grandchildren, fifteen great - grandchildren, two sisters and a brother in law: Sandra Dugger of Bethalto, Joyce and Roger Junk of Wood River, a brother: Terry Dugger of California, and several nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends. She was employed by the Alton School District as a hired grandma and Art Teacher at Lewis and Clark Elementary on Humbert Road. She attended St. Mary's Catholic Church in Alton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death one by brother: Denny Dugger. In celebration of her life, a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10am on Wednesday, March 23, 2016, at Holy Angels Parish in Wood River. Father James Flach will be the celebrant. Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto. Memorials are suggested to the family.
