Carole Kay Collet

Carole Kay Collet, 71, passed away at 6:55pm on Friday, May 3, 2013, at her residence. She was born September 21, 1941, in Alton the daughter of the late David and Louise (Payne) Grieve. She married William "Bill" Collet on April 11, 1964, and he survives. Other survivors include a daughter and son in law: Michele and Lyle Grant of Godfrey, one grandson: Benjamin Grant, one brother and sister in law: David and Rhoda Grieve of Carterville, Illinois. She was an Licensed Practical Nurse for Dr. Tanin Parich for 26 years, retiring in 2001. An avid reader, she loved her family very much. A giving person, she was always willing to help. She was preceded in death by her parents. In celebration of her life, visitation will be 4pm to 8pm on Wednesday, May 8, 2013, at Pitchford Funeral Home in Wood River. Funeral services will be held at 10am on Thursday, May 9, 2013, at the funeral home. Chaplain Randy Butler will officiate. Burial will follow at Wanda Cemetery in South Roxana. Memorials to BJC Hospice of Alton or the Alzheimer's Association.
