Carole Vogler

Wood River — Carole Vogler, 78, passed away at 2:56 a.m. on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at Barnes–Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.

Carole was born January 28, 1948, in Chicago, the daughter of the late John Walter and Iris Elaine (Amos) Snizek.

She married Eric Vogler, the love of her life, on June 10, 1968, in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Together, they built a beautiful life rooted in devotion and joy. They raised three wonderful children and created a home filled with love, laughter, and steady support. Over the years they shared many adventures and made treasured memories around the world, but the greatest thing they built was the life they created side by side.

Carole had a creative soul and a gentle way of making life feel a little more beautiful. She loved art, music, gardening and those passions stayed with her through the years—bringing her comfort, joy, and inspiration. Most of all, she loved her family deeply and will be missed more than words can say.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, John (Cassandra) Vogler of Wood River; her daughter and son-in-law, Nanette (Joseph Zejavac) Vogler of Bradenton, Florida; and her son and daughter-in-law, Todd (Michelle) Vogler of Eastlake, Ohio; four grandchildren, Matthew Vogler, and Charlotte Vogler; Gabriella Zejavac, Zoran Zejavac, her sisters, Anna Lowe and Iris Motter; her brothers, Robert Snizek, David Snizek, and Owen Motter; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.

In her final days and weeks, she was surrounded by many that cherished her. Special recognition is given to her niece Marjorie Giese for her love and kindness while Carole went through her illness.

In addition to her parents , Carole was preceded in death by her sister, Colleen (Snizek) Paris, and her brother, Ronald Snizek and John Snizek.

In accordance with her wishes, cremation rites will be accorded.
