Carolyn Sue Kuehnel

Carolyn Sue Kuehnel, 67, passed away at 2:35am on Wednesday, July 9, 2014, at Barnes – Jewish Hospital. She was born on October 5, 1946, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri the daughter of the late Fred and Nora (Tarpley) Thompson. Survivors include one son and daughter in law: Rick and Nancy Kuehnel of St. Charles, Missouri, two granddaughters: Jessica Kuehnel and Lindsey Kuehnel both of St. Charles, Missouri, two brothers and sisters in law: Gerald and Selma Thompson of State College, Pennsylvania and Nathan Earl and Judy Thompson of Checotah, Oklahoma. She was formerly employed as a selector at Olin Corp for 15 years prior to her retirement. In celebration of her life, private visitation will be held on Friday, July 11, 2014, at Pitchford Funeral Home in Wood River. Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto. Memorials are suggested to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
