Catherine Elfgen

Catherine Elfgen, 69, passed away at 7:36pm on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at her residence. She was born on October 22, 1956, in Alton, the daughter of the late Maurice and Eilene (Taylor) Elfgen. Survivors include daughters: Lucinda Jean Cardigan of Alton, Lera Monet Blasioli of Alton, her grandchildren: Jafer, Sofia, Ella, Persephany “Finn”, Lucca, Breena, three sisters and brothers in law: Jo Anne and John Gammage of Chesterfield, Missouri, Nancy and Steve Aud of Wood River, Sandy and Mark Rhoads of Wood River, many nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.

Catherine worked in the social services department at Oasis Women’s Center. She loved camping and spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant sister: Lucinda.

In accordance with wishes, cremation rites will be accorded.
