Clark J. Stoeckel

Clark J. Stoeckel, 63, passed away at 1:10am on Monday, May 13, 2024, at his residence surrounded by family. He was born on September 20, 1960, in Alton, the son of the late Leo J. and Dorothy I. (Hazen) Stoeckel. He married the former Tracy Gill on October 16, 1982, in East Alton, and she survives. Other survivors include two sons and a daughter in law: Nicholas Gill of Brighton, Craig and Ashley Stoeckel of Godfrey, one grandson: Alex Stoeckel of Alton, two brothers and sisters in law: David and Sharon Stoeckel of Brighton, Steven and Linda Stoeckel of Alton, many nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.

Clark was employed as an electrician at Olin Winchester. He attended Bethel Pentecostal Church in Rosewood Heights. He loved woodworking and tinkering with cars. He enjoyed spending time with his loved ones and was always there to lend a helping hand.

In celebration of his life, visitation will be from 4pm until time of services at 6pm on Thursday, May 16, 2024, Pitchford Funeral Home in Wood River. Rev. Royce Roy will officiate.

Memorials are suggested to OSF St. Anthony’s Hospice and will be accepted at the funeral home.
