Cody M. Moran

East Alton:

Cody M. Moran, 38, passed away at 1:54am on Sunday, December 24, 2023. He was born on July 7, 1985, in Wood River, the son of Michael and Barbie (Graham) Moran. He married the former Brandy Maurer on December 29, 2006, in Edwardsville, and she survives. In addition to his wife, Cody is survived by his dad: Michael (Jennifer) Moran of Glen Carbon, his mom: Barbie Tonsor of Wood River, two daughters: Brooke Moran of East Alton, Arianna Moran of East Alton, three sons: Skylar Moran of Bethalto, Caiden Moran of East Alton, Drake Moran of East Alton, his sisters: Amber Collman of Collinsville, Misty Harris of Lexington, Missouri, Michelle (Steve) Lambert of Kenney, Illinois, Madison Tonsor of Wood River, Natalie Tonsor of Wood River, his brothers: Kyle (Alaina) Moran of Wood River, Daniel Collman of Springfield, Illinois, Lucas Collman of Polson, Montana, Kenyon Moran of Glen Carbon, his father in law and mother in law: Don (Candy) Rader of East Alton, his grandpa: Willis Diuguid of Cottage Hills, his grandparents: Tom and Janet Smith of Edwardsville, his best friend: Mike (Michelle) Bunt of East Alton, many nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.

Cody was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a member of the Cottage Hills VFW Post 7678 and the East Alton American Legion Post 794.

In celebration of his life, visitation will be from 4pm to 8pm on Thursday, December 28, 2023, at Pitchford Funeral Home in Wood River. Funeral services will be held at 10am on Friday, December 29, 2023, at the funeral home. Pastor Darren Beyer will officiate. Burial will follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery with full military honors.

Memorials are suggested to the family with checks payable to Brandy Moran and will be accepted at the funeral home.
