Dale King

South Roxana: Dale C. King, 66, passed away at 10am on Sunday, May 8, 2016, at his residence. He was born on February 15, 1950, in Sullivan, Missouri, the son of the late Ruben West and Revil (Dilks) King. He married the former Debra Fite on June 27, 1970, in South Roxana, and she survives. Other survivors include three sons and daughters in law: Scott and Eve King of Pineville, Missouri, Brad and Chas King of Bethalto, Jeremy and Angela King of Cottage Hills, thirteen grandchildren: Nic, Samantha, Megan, Abigail, Beau, Hayley, Skylar, Brayden, Crystal, Ayla and her husband: Tony, Imogene, Kwentin, Wyatt, eight great – grandchildren: Gauge, Brooklyn, Hannah, Jackson, Allison, Skylee, Payton, Paxton, five sisters: Bernice Cox of Alton, Geraldine Cavanaugh and her husband: Tim of Cuba, Missouri, Ruby Adams of Sarasota, Florida, Carol Young of Cottage Hills, Mary Scott and her husband: Bob of Bethalto, one brother: Ron King of Wood River, two sisters in law and brothers in law: Kathy and Tony Bazile of Katy, Texas, Rhonda and Rob Stegall of Roxana, one brother in law and sister in law: Kevin and Melissa Fite of Cypress Springs, Texas, many nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends. He was formerly employed at Boeing as a machinist for over 25 years prior to his retirement. He loved camping, traveling, spending time with his boys and his grandkids. He was a member of Bethel Free Will Baptist Church in South Roxana. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister: Loretta and two brothers: Ramsey and Cowan. In celebration of his life, visitation will be from 4pm to 8pm on Wednesday, May 11, 2016, at Pitchford Funeral Home in Wood River. Funeral services will be held at 10am on Thursday, May 12, 2016, at Bethel Free Will Baptist Church in South Roxana. Ross Wells will officiate. Burial will follow at Wanda Cemetery in South Roxana. Memorials are suggested to the charity of the donor’s choice and will be accepted at the funeral home.
