Dawn L. Blackard

Rosewood Heights: Dawn L. Blackard, 50, passed away at 10:35pm on Thursday, November 29, 2018, at her residence with her loving family by her side. She was born on June 20, 1968, in Alton, the daughter of Cheryl (Runion) Blackard of East Alton and the late Michael Blackard. Survivors include a daughter: Sarah Ilch of Rosewood Heights, a son: Michael Ilch of Rosewood Heights, a sister: Debra Blackard of Alton, a brother: Zachehus Burnett of Los Angeles, California, her dear friend: Brandy Taylor and her husband: Brian of St. Charles, Missouri, and many other extended family and close friends. Dawn was employed as an accounts payable clerk at GCS Credit Union. She was a member of Crosspoint Church in South Roxana. She loved spending time with her family and was a member of the Roxana Booster Club. In accordance with her wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. In celebration of her life, memorial visitation will be from 5pm to 8pm on Thursday, December 6, 2018, at Pitchford Funeral Home in Wood River. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to her family and will be accepted at the funeral home.
