Dean Pyle, 86, passed away at 7:55am on Wednesday, October 30, 2013, at Anderson Hospital in Maryville. He was born on July 11, 1927, in Sorento, Illinois the son of the late Fred and Ora Belle (Breedlove) Pyle. He married the former Dolly Doyen on October 13, 1952, in Arkansas and she preceded him in death on December 24, 2003. Survivors include three daughters and two sons in law: Nicki and Darrell Lairamore of Pocola, Oklahoma, Diane and Lloyd Woolverton of Wood River, Franny Antrobus of Hartford, four grandchildren: Julie Matlock, Brian Lairamore and his wife: Sylvia, DeeDee Martin and her husband: Justin, Monessa Woolverton, three great grandchildren: Gavin, Ethan, Emma, several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and other extended family and friends. He and his wife formerly owned and operated Dean and Dolly's Upholstery Shop in Hartford for 40 years prior to their retirement. He was a member of the American Legion in Arizona. He attended the Bethalto Church of God. He was a veteran of the United States Army Air Corp. In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by two sisters: Vinita Parton, Ruby Richardson Hendricks, two brothers: Leo Pyle, and his twin brother: Gene Pyle. In celebration of his life, visitation will be from 10am until time of funeral services at 12:30pm on Saturday, November 2, 2013, at Pitchford Funeral Home in Wood River. Pastor Tim Campbell will officiate. Burial will follow at Wanda Cemetery in South Roxana. Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association.
