Debora Layton

Debora Layton, 65, passed away at 5:56am on Wednesday, March 13, 2024, at Missouri Baptist Hospital. She was born on September 17, 1958, in Wood River, Illinois, the daughter of the late James and Margaret (Perrigan) Layton. Survivors include a son and daughter in law: Robby and Monica Layton of Wood River, Il, a daughter and son in law: Rachel and Scott Kaufmann of Meadowbrook, Illinois, ten grandchildren: Aaron, Caleb, Kyle, Patience, Joseph, Allison, Riley, Olivia, Ollee, Charles, her sisters: Barbara Groshong of Rotunda West, Florida, Carol Hartline of Puxico, Missouri, Janet Webb of South Roxana, Illinois, her brothers: Robert Layton of Cave in Rock, Illinois, Ronald (Donna) Layton of Carrolton, Illinois, Glenn Layton of Meadowbrook, Illinois, many nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.

Debora was employed at many places throughout her lifetime and was able to travel and see the many beautiful sites all over our country all while painting and working for disaster clean up services.

Most recently employed doing home health services for her family, friends, and dear loved ones.

She had the soul of and angel, the fire of a lioness, the heart of a hippie & the spirit of an Eagle. She found solitude in her relationship with the lord as a lifelong member of Meadowbrook Assembly of God.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son: Randy Layton

and a grandson: Ethan Layton.

In celebration of her life, memorial services will be from 5pm to 8pm on Friday, March 22, 2024, at the Cottage Hills VFW, 121 South Williams Street, Cottage Hills, Illinois, 62018.
