Dena Wood

Brighton:

Dena Wood, 64, passed away at 1:40pm on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at her residence. She was born on November 15, 1961, in Alton, the daughter of Hubert “Bud” and Beverly (Tidobaum) Wood. Survivors include a daughter: Amber Henry of Godfrey, a son: Steven Henry, Jr. of Brighton, three grandchildren: Jerion Holoman, Anfrintino Sykes, Jr., Ambreia Sykes, a half sister: Candace McCormick of East Alton, and many other extended family and friends.

Dena was formerly employed in the deli department at Shop N Save in Alton. Dena loved gardening, flowers, country music, and most importantly, she loved her children and grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother: Rick Wood.

In celebration of her life, memorial visitation will be from 5pm to 7pm on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at Pitchford Funeral Home in Wood River.
