Doloros Taulbee

Doloros Taulbee, 86, formerly of Wood River, passed away at 6:44pm on Wednesday, May 21, 2014, at Relais Bonne Eau in Edwardsville. She was born on July 8, 1927, Wood River, the daughter of the late Harry and Clara (Deardeuff) Meiser. She married Luther L. “Lute” Taulbee on July 16, 1946, in Roxana and he preceded her in death on April 4, 2013. Survivors include two daughters and a son in law: Tracy Franks of Rosewood Heights, Trudy and Tom Lehnen of Bethalto, two sons and daughters in law: Dan and Jeanne Taulbee of Dorsey, Kim and Nancy Taulbee of Mechanicsville, Virginia, eleven grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren. She was formerly employed as a secretary at Roxana Community Unit School District #1 for 20 years. She was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Rosewood Heights where she was very involved with the choir and the Sweet Sounds Group. She loved being with family and friends. She loved working in her yard, gardening, and planting flowers. She loved writing and picture projects, scrapbooking, and reading. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by one sister: Loretta Miles. In celebration of her life, memorial visitation will be from 4pm to 8pm on Wednesday, May 28, 2014, at St. Paul United Methodist Church in Rosewood Heights. Memorial services will be held at 11am on Thursday, May 29, 2014, at St. Paul United Methodist Church in Rosewood Heights. Pastor Daryl Fansler will officiate. Private burial will be at Woodland Hill Cemetery in East Alton. Memorials are suggested to St. Paul United Methodist Church in Rosewood Heights or to the Relais Bonne Eau Hospice House in Edwardsville.
