Doris S. Heigert

Staunton: Doris S. Heigert, 90, passed away at 12:48pm on Wednesday, September 23, 2020, at Alhambra Rehab and Healthcare. She was born on January 24, 1930, in Staunton, the daughter of the late Gilbert and Selma (Henke) Jarden. She married Elmer Heigert on November 25, 1948, in Staunton, and he preceded her in death on January 17, 2014. Survivors include three sons and two daughters in law: Ronald Heigert of Staunton, Donald and Marlene Heigert of Staunton, Kenneth and Linda Heigert of Staunton, six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and many other extended family and friends. Doris was formerly employed at Community Hospital of Staunton for over thirty years as the office manager. She was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Staunton. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter in law: Beverly, two sisters, and a brother. In accordance with her wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. No services will held. Memorials are suggested to Staunton Helping Hands Center or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
