Parma, Michigan: Edd Blasingim, 84, passed away on Thursday, May 30, 2019, at Henry Ford Allegiance Hospital in Jackson, Michigan. He was born on August 31, 1934, in Hickman, Kentucky, the son of the late Harvey and Ida (Goff) Blasingim. Survivors include four daughters and three sons in law: Patty and Mike Harper of Lake Camelot, Illinois, Theresa and John Fletcher of Plant City, Florida, Darlene and Gregory Rheeder of Jackson, Michigan, Arlene Blasingim of Plant City, Florida, two sons and a daughter in law: Edward Blasingim of Alton, OC and Janet Lowe of Granite City, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great – great grandchildren, one sister: Dorothy Lane of Alton, his companion of over twenty years: Irene Fitzpatrick of Albion, Michigan, many nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends. Edd loved his family, fishing, and going to church. He was a member of Grace Freewill Baptist Church in Albion, Michigan. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six brothers. In celebration of his life visitation will be from 10am until time of services at 12pm on Thursday, June 6, 2019, at Pitchford Funeral Home in Wood River. Pastor Ray Taylor will officiate. Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto. Memorials are suggested to Grace Freewill Baptist Church in Albion, Michigan and will be accepted at the funeral home.
