Eleanor G. Fraley

Bethalto: Eleanor G. Fraley, 96, passed away at 6:40am on Monday, December 25, 2017, at OSF St. Anthony’s Hospital in Alton. She was born on April 8, 1921, in Stratton, Nebraska, the daughter of the late Robert Winslow and Myrtle Mae (Ritchey) Woods. She married Ernest Fraley on December 25, 1942, in St. Charles, Missouri, and he preceded her in death on August 15, 2002. Survivors include her granddaughter/daughter: Diana Tinnon and her husband: Timmy of Brighton, a daughter: Sharon Waters of Alton, three grandchildren: Ronald Little of St. Charles, Missouri, Joseph Brown of Missouri, Laura Brown of Jerseyville, five great grandchildren: Robert Herrin III, Ronald Little, Jr., Regina Marie Little, Logan Brown, Bentley Brown, a great- great grandson: Theodore Herrin, and many nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends. Eleanor was formerly employed at Olin Metallic Manufacturing for five years. She was a wonderful seamstress, she loved to sew, and she loved to cook. She was a member of Faith Christian Fellowship in South Roxana. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by four sisters: Hazel, Veanice, Oleta, Doris, and four brothers: Roy, Robert, Dorvin, and Willis. In celebration of her life, visitation will be from 9:30am until time of funeral services at 12pm on Friday, December 29, 2017, at Pitchford Funeral Home in Wood River. Pastor Art Hooper will officiate. Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto. Memorials are suggested to Faith Christian Fellowship in South Roxana and will be accepted at the funeral home.
