Ella L. Bierbaum

Wood River: Ella L. Bierbaum, 93, passed away at 10:10am on Wednesday, April 8, 2020, at her residence. She was born on June 16, 1926, in Ina, Illinois, the daughter of the late Arthur and Ada (King) Odle. She married Orville Orin Bierbaum and he preceded her in death on June 13, 2003. Survivors include a daughter and son in law: Rosella and Rod Kasper of Branson, Missouri, a son: Dave Bierbaum of Wood River, three grandchildren and their spouses: Christopher and Rachel Carlson, Laura and Ben Althuisius, Jonathan and Misty Carlson, eight great grandchildren, her sister in law: Darlene Kruse, and many nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends. Ella was formerly employed as an assembly line worker at Owens – Illinois Glass Works. After her retirement, her and her son David owned and operated Shaklee Distributors. She was a member of the Roxana Church of the Nazarene. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters: Alberta and Justine, and two brothers: Arthur and Alex. In accordance with her wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. Private family inurnment will be held at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto. Memorials are suggested to the Roxana Church of the Nazarene.
