Eudina "Dina" Howard

Cottage Hills: Eudina “Dina” Howard, 77, passed away at 4:25pm on Friday, August 18, 2017, at her residence. She was born on September 19, 1939, in Alton, the daughter of the late John A. and Lottie Loeta Christian. She married Floyd Howard on June 10, 1956, in Alton, and he preceded her in death on January 11, 1997. Survivors include two daughters and a son in law: Diana Hatten of Alton, Roxana and Clifford Dial II of Cottage Hills, three sons and two daughters in law: Dana and Tracey Howard of Bethalto, Ross Howard of East Alton, Darryl and Diane Howard of Bunker Hill, ten grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, her special friend: Bill Minner of Alton, two special nieces: Freda Bales of Rosewood Heights, Patty Ann Snider of Cottage Hills, many nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends. A homemaker, Dina enjoyed crocheting and making snowmen of batting. She loved elephants and collected them. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son in law: Craig Hatten, four brothers, and six sisters. In accordance with her wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. A private family memorial will be held at a later date.
