Frances Reynolds

Frances L. Reynolds, 86, passed away at 9:35pm on Tuesday, April 29, 2014, at Barnes – Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. She was born on October 29, 1927, in Rockbridge, Illinois the daughter of the late Orville and Ida (Bridgewater) Fry. She married Robert Reynolds Sr. on April 28, 1951, in Cottage Hills, Illinois and he survives. Other survivors include two sons and daughters in law: Robert and Nicki Reynolds, Jr. of St. Peters, Missouri, Steve and June Reynolds of Cottage Hills, four grandchildren: Tracey Reynolds – Ogg, Ashley Cook, T.J. Cook, Kenneth Reynolds, three great – grandchildren: Heather, Jasper, Rylee, two sisters: Virginia Bowers of Virden, Illinois, and Retha Loy of Greenfield, Illinois, and several nieces, nephews and other extended family. She was formerly employed at Owens – Illinois Glass Works for 10 years. She retired as a hairdresser after 15 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cottage Hills. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son: Kenneth Reynolds, and one sister: Dorothy Price. In celebration of her life, visitation will be from 4pm to 8pm on Friday, May 2, 2014, at Pitchford Funeral Home in Wood River. Funeral services will be held at 10am on Saturday, May 3, 2014, at the First Baptist Church in Cottage Hills. Pastor Warren Brown will officiate. Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto. Memorials are suggested to the First Baptist Church of Cottage Hills and will be accepted at the funeral home.
