Garry A. Durham

Cottage Hills: Garry A. Durham, 58, passed away at 3:30am on Friday, February 22, 2019, at his residence. He was born on March 11, 1960, in Wood River, the son of the late Lloyd and Wanda (Hardwick) Durham. Survivors include three daughters: Melissa Wray of Godfrey, Michelle Smith and her husband: Haven of Granite City, Nicole Durham of Cottage Hills, a step daughter: Kendra Snyder and her wife: Jodi of South Carolina, two stepsons and their wives: Todd and Beth Snyder of Godfrey, Troy and Katy Snyder of Alton, their mother and Garry’s special friend: Nyla Snyder of Godfrey, seven grandchildren, seven step grandchildren, four sisters: Cindy Boud and her husband: George of East Alton, Patricia Bumgardner of Alton, Tammy Beran of Alton, Lisa Durham of Alton, two brothers: Lloyd Durham Jr. and his wife: Diane of Troy, Illinois, Donald Durham of Alton, many nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends. Garry was formerly employed as a transmission specialist. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant sister: Ruth Ann Durham and a step granddaughter: Sadey Snyder. In accordance with his wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. In celebration of his life, memorial visitation will be from 4pm until time of memorial services at 7pm on Tuesday, February 26, 2018, at Pitchford Funeral Home in Wood River. Pastor Stan Hunt will officiate. Memorials are suggested to the family.
