Gregory A. Reed, Sr.

South Roxana: Gregory A. Reed, Sr., 67, passed away at 3:05am on Sunday, July 1, 2018, at his residence. He was born on October 14, 1950, in Taylorville, Illinois, the son of the late Jesse and Shirley (Richards) Reed. He married the former Deborah Arnold on October 14, 1970, in Wood River, and she survives. Other survivors include two daughters: Tracy Reed of South Roxana, Tammy Newman of Cottage Hills, one son: Gregory Reed, Jr. of Carlinville, five grandchildren: Anthony, Gregory, Jaden, Jessica, Ava, and one great grandson: Grayson Allen Reed. Greg was formerly employed as a laborer at Beall Manufacturing. He enjoyed fishing and drawing. In celebration of his life, visitation will be from 4pm to 7pm on Friday, July 6, 2018, at Pitchford Funeral Home in Wood River. Funeral services will be held at 10am on Saturday, July 7, 2018, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Wanda Cemetery in South Roxana. Memorials are suggested to the Make A Wish Foundation or to the American Kidney Foundation and will be accepted at the funeral home.
