Grafton: Heather L. Bardsley, 42, passed away at 6:30pm on Thursday, March 10, 2016, in Jersey County, Illinois. She was born on December 30, 1973, in Alton, the daughter of John and Lavada (Oschmann) Bardsley. Survivors include her mother Lavada Bardsley of Bethalto, one brother: Jason Bardsley of Bethalto, her father and step – mother: John and Patti Bardsley of St. Jacob, Illinois, one daughter: Abbey Halley of Grafton, her companion: Josh Halley of Grafton, his parents: Vince and Kathy Halley of Bethalto, her sister in law and brother in law: Melissa and Doug Kauffman of Bethalto, her niece: Journey Kauffman of Bethalto, her paternal grandma: Rose Bardsley of Edwardsville, two aunts: Marie Grigg and her husband: Richard of East Alton, Charlene Melton of Idaho, two uncles: John Oschmann of Minnesota, Tom Oschmann of East Alton, several cousins and many other extended family and friends. She was employed as a waitress at King Louie’s in Wood River. She loved festivals and being outdoors. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents: Charles and Eileen Oschmann, her paternal grandpa: John Bardsley, Sr., and a cousin Charles Grigg. In celebration of her life, memorial visitation will be from 2pm to 8pm on Sunday, March 20, 2016, at Pitchford Funeral Home in Wood River. Funeral services will be held at 10am on Monday, March 21, 2016, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Abbey Halley Memorial Fund in care of Lavada Bardsley and will be accepted at the funeral home.
