Henrietta E. Tinsley

Henrietta E. Tinsley, 89, passed away at 9:27am on Friday, June 28, 2013, at Barnes - Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. She was born on August 5, 1923, in Lapeer, Michigan the daughter of the late martin and Elizabeth Batoha. She married Earl Tinsley in Alton and he preceded her in death in 1986. Survivors include one daughter: Sally Smith of Springfield, Missouri, two sons and a daughter in law: Gerald Tinsley of Bethalto, Jeff and Melody Tinsley of Bethalto, a son in law: Rodger Eaker of White City, Illinois, nine grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, and five great - great grandchildren. She was formerly employed as a bottler at Owens - Illinois Glass Works. She worked as a cook at Emmett's Bar and Grill in Bethalto and the Bethalto Donut Shop. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter: Cindy Eaker, two sisters, and four brothers. In accordance with her wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. Private inurnment will be at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto. Memorials are suggested to Bethalto Church of God.
