Bethalto: Hunter Eugene Ellis Holliday “Our little hero” went to be with the angels on Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at Children’s Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. He was born November 21, 2014 at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, the son of Kelee Elizabeth Scott and Ricky Eugene Holliday, both of Bethalto. His short 6 months with us on earth has left us a lifetime of cherished memories. His forever smile will forever be remembered. He was his mommy’s boy and such a happy baby. As an organ donor, he will live as a hero to others by his gift of hope to let another child live. In addition to his mommy and daddy, he is survived by two sisters, Jaylee Marie and Brilee Elizabeth Holliday; grandparents, Kristy Scott of East Alton, Jeff and Christy Scott of Bunker Hill, Charlotte and Jerry Davis Jr. of Shipman and Tony and Anica Holliday of Cottage Hills; great grandparents, Donna Raye and Sonny Althoff of East Alton, Dave Hanbaum of South Roxana, Janet Scott of Hartford, Jerry and Betty Davis Sr. of Bethalto, Lavada Nored of Godfrey, Wendy Holliday of East Alton and Rev. Jack and Karen Spitzner of Hartford; great-great grandfather, Tom Powers of Godfrey; uncles and aunts, Kyle Scott of East Alton, D.J. Scott of Bunker Hille, Zach Davis of Shipman, Grady Davis of Shipman, A.J. Holliday of Jerseyville, Candra Holliday of Granite City, Abby Krug of Bunker Hill and Robby Krug of Bunker Hill; other extended family and many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his great grandparents, Leroy Scott, Ricky Holliday, Francis Moore and Clyde Holliday and great-great grandparents, Raymond and Lucille Jones, Harold and Lillian Hanbaum and Evelyn Powers. In celebration of his life, visitation will be at Pitchford Funeral Home, 2555 Vaughn Road in Wood River on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Jack Spitzner officiating. Burial will be at Wanda Cemetery in South Roxana. Memorials are suggested and may be made to Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital N.I.C.U. and may be accepted at the funeral home.
