Wood River: Jack L. Kelley, 76, passed away and went to be with the Lord at 7:45pm on Monday, November 23, 2020, at his residence with his family by his side. He was born on October 26, 1944, in Indianapolis, Indiana, the son of the late Kenneth and Agnes (Salin) Kelley. He married the former Sandy Steele on November 8, 1969, in Terre Haute, Indiana, and she survives. Other survivors include a daughter and son in law: April and Donnie House of Rosewood Heights, two grandsons: Connor House and Jacob House, a sister and brother in law: Jeani and Roger Hall of Terre Haute, Indiana, and many other extended family and friends. Jack graduated from Lincoln Christian University with his Bachelor’s Degree. He was a minister in the Christian Church. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Wood River. He loved doing baseball stats, spending time with his grandsons, playing countless hours wiffleball with his grandsons, and spending time with his family. He was a substitute teacher at Roxana Community Unit District #1 where he was known for his Donald Duck voice. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother: Melvin Kelley. In accordance with his wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. Due to the current Covid – 19 restrictions, memorial services will be held at a later date. Memorials are suggested to the Roxana High School Baseball Team.
