Jackie (Hatalla) Hammann

Virden: Jackie (Hatalla) Hammann, 72, passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2020, in the emergency room at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield. She was born on October 18, 1947, in Virden, the daughter of the late Thomas J. and Anna Mae (Foster) Hatalla. Jackie attended Virden Schools and was a care giver. She is survived by her companion Paul Gregory, her sons and daughters: Michael T. and Shelly Hatalla of Girard, Chuck and Angie Eyer of Thayer, Joseph and Theresa Eyer of Nilwood, a daughter and son in law: Lori and Jassen Tipps of Virden, her grandchildren: Corinna Eyer (Chris Smith) of Nilwood, Matthew Eyer of Girard, Austin Fanning of Sumner, Illinois, Travis Fanning of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Christy Eller of Nilwood, her grandchildren: Malerie Eyer - Maberry, Bryse Crays, Ethan Crays, her great great grandchildren: Lucas Fanning, Rusty Fanning, Olivia Fanning, two brothers and sisters in law: Gary and Kathy Hatalla of Indiana, David and Debbie Hatalla of Virden, four sisters and two brothers in law: Judy and Bob Bartolazzi of Auburn, Barb Wonaroski of Girard, Pam Rees of Hamel, Rhonda and Lowell Wills of Virden, many nieces, nephews, and many extended family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers: Tom and Ron. In accordance with her wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. A celebration of Jackie’s life will be held at a later date.
