East Alton: Jacquelyn Sue Dutchik, 76, passed away at 11:22pm on Tuesday, June 11, 2019, at Barnes – Jewish Hospital. She was born on March 21, 1943, in St. Louis, the daughter of the late James Clyde and Margaret Ruth (Fisher) Brown. She married Thomas Dutchik on August 20, 1983, in Wood River, and he survives. Other survivors include three daughters and two sons in law: Vickie and Rick Tellor of Granite City, Terri Walker of Wood River, Stacy and Danny Butler of Shipman, one son and daughter in law: Jimmy and Toni Whitaker of Warrenton, Missouri, twelve grandchildren, several great grandchildren, a sister and brother in law: Sandra and Joe Thomas of Palmetto, Florida, her mother in law: Leila Dutchik of Wood River, and many other extended family and friends. Jacquelyn was employed for fifteen years as a laborer at Shell Oil Company. She enjoyed spending time with her family, fishing, and was a member of the Wood River Moose Lodge #1349. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter: Bobbie Jo Manning. In accordance with her wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. In celebration of her life, memorial visitation will be from 10am to 1pm on Saturday, June 15, 2019, at Pitchford Funeral Home in Wood River. Memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and will be accepted at the funeral home.
