Jacquelyn Scroggins

Alton: Jacquelyn Scroggins, 69, passed away at 11:37pm on Saturday, May 8, 2021, at Alton Memorial Hospital. She was born on July 24, 1951, in Alton, the daughter of the late Gene Carroll and Barbara “Babs” (Stanton) Wallace. Survivors include three daughters and a son in law: Anastasia Scroggins (Stacie Baze) of Winchester, Illinois, Alyx Dell of Godfrey, Ashley (Mike) Cox of Alton, a son and daughter in law: Steve (Mary) Scroggins, Jr. of Wood River, her grandchildren: Cassandra (Gabe), Seth, Dominic, Isaac, Olivia, Jeff, Carmela, Kendrick, Stevie, Millie, Quinn, Xavion, Xyan, three sisters and a brother in law: Sandi (Mike) Flowers of Grafton, Beth Mundy of Jerseyville, Laura Lester of Grafton, three brothers and a sister in law: Ross (Carolyn) Wallace of Valrico, Florida, Kevin Wallace of Alton, Kenny Wallace of Jerseyville, many nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends. A homemaker, Jacquelyn was a friend of Bill W. for 36 years. She loved watching Cardinal’s baseball, playing Words with Friends and texting and chatting on the phone. She also loved to pass the time, along with her 15 year old chihuahua, Gabriel, eating ice cream and sipping diet Pepsi. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers in law: Ed Lester and Greg Mundy and one sister in law: Robin Wallace In accordance with her wishes, cremation rites will be accorded and a private memorial service at a later date. Memorials are suggested to the charity of the donor’s choice.
