Bunker Hill: James Allen “Jim” Bress, 59, passed away at 10:22am on Monday, June 29, 2020, at his residence. He was born on October 23, 1960, in Highland, the son of the late Earl and Adeloise (Lanter) Bress. Survivors include a son: Tyler Bress of Wood River, a daughter: Shanna Bress Schuyler of Rosewood Heights, a granddaughter: Kassidy Schuyler who he adored and loved watching her play softball, a sister and brother in law: Jean and Wayne Scroggins of Farmington, Missouri, a brother and sister in law: Mike and Lora Bress of Fairview Heights, a nephew: Quinn Bress and his fiance’: Hannah, a niece: Julie and Joe Clubb, and many other extended family and friends. Jim was employed at Phillips 66. He loved motorcycles, tractor pulls, old cars, travelling, guns, and was a member of the NRA. He loved the St. Louis Cardinals, the St. Louis Blues, and loved going to sporting events with his son, daughter, and granddaughter. He loved spending time with his family and friends. In accordance with his wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. Due to the current Covid – 19 restrictions and in celebration of his life, memorial services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to his family to be used for his granddaughter Kassidy Schuyler.
