Imperial, Missouri Janet Wilson, 77, formerly of Bethalto, passed away at 12:06am on Monday, January 11, 2021, at her residence. She was born on July 11, 1943, in Alton, Illinois, the daughter of the late Ernest and Ruby (Madison) Norris. She married Donald E. “Don” Wilson on May 14, 1966, in East Alton, and he preceded her in death on December 17, 2018. Survivors include a son and daughter in law: Craig and Michelle Wilson of Arnold, Missouri, four grandchildren: Christian, Morgan, Canaan, Mikayla “Gracie”, a daughter in law: Julie Jensen – Wilson of Charlotte, North Carolina, a sister and brother in law: Phyllis and Tommy Helm of Paducah, Kentucky, a brother: Jim Norris of Godfrey, many nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends. Janet was employed in the Purchasing Department at US Bank in St. Louis for many years prior to her retirement. She was a member of Johnson Road Baptist Church in Granite City. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved son: Todd Wilson. In celebration of his life, graveside services will be held at 11am on Thursday, January 14, 2021, at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto. Face masks will be required and strict social distancing guidelines will be followed. Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association.
