Wood River:
Janice McCoy, 79, passed away at 6:05pm on Monday, November 2, 2026, at her residence. She was born on July 22, 1947, in East St. Louis, Illinois, the daughter of the late Edward and Mary Lou (Hood) Siegel. She married Horace McCoy in 1982 in Hillsboro, Missouri, and he preceded her in death on January 7, 2017. Survivors include a daughter and son in law: Tracy and Ed Drach of Wood River, three grandchildren: Brian (Bethanee Nicolini) Drach, Austin (Lindsey) Drach, Evan (Ava Clintsman) Merritt, nine great grandchildren, and many other extended family and friends.
Janice was formerly employed at Marsh Advantage America. She was formerly a volunteer at the Shelter Shop in Belleville.
In accordance with her wishes, cremation rites will be accorded.
The family would like to thank OSF Hospice, her hospice nurse: Lisa, and her patient care tech: Beth.
