Jason D. Gearing, 49, passed away at 7:50am on Saturday, February 11, 2023, at his residence. He was born on October 31, 1973, in Alton, the son of David (Patricia) Gearing of Tamms, Illinois, and the late Janice (Harp) Gearing. In addition to his dad and step mom, Jason is survived by his husband: Nathaniel Holmes of Alton, two daughters and a son in law: Brianna and Brendan Cox of Staunton, Halle (Gary Anderson) Gearing of Caseyville, a son: Zachary Kindle of Wood River, three grandchildren: Cereniti Cox, Dominic Gearing, Gunner Cox, a brother: Matthew Gearing of Eugene, Oregon, his former wife: Kelli Kindle of Wood River, and many other extended family and friends.

Jason was formerly employed through the Carpenters Union.

In celebration of his life, memorial visitation will be from 10am to 12pm on Wednesday, February 15, 2023, at Pitchford Funeral Home in Wood River.

Memorials are suggested to the family with checks payable to Brianna Cox and will be accepted at the funeral home.
