Jeannie K. Buttry, 54, passed away at 12:35pm on Wednesday, April 23, 2014, at her residence. She was born on December 14, 1959, in Alton, Illinois the daughter of the late James and Anna (Hill) Aslone. She married George Buttry on July 15, 1978, in East Alton and he survives. Other survivors include two daughters and a son in law: Amber Dawn and Richard Davidson of East Alton, Anna Marie Vaughn of Alton, three sons and two daughters in law: Dustin and Janet Buttry of East Alton, Thomas and Jan Buttry of Alton, Michael Buttry of Alton, ten grandchildren: Isabella, Gabriella, Jackson, Nathaliah, KayLynn May, Ella Louise, Lydia, Brody, Kirsten, Landon, and one sister and brother: Judy and Michael Craig of Godfrey. She was formerly employed as a paralegal for the Land of Lincoln Legal Aid. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers: John Aslone and James Aslone, and one sister: Joannie Thiemann. In accordance with her wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. Graveside services will be held at 1pm on Monday, April 28, 2014, at Upper Alton Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital or to Land of Lincoln Legal Aid.
