Jeffrey Scott Elliott

Rosewood Heights: Jeffrey Scott Elliott, 61, passed away at 2am on Friday, December 30, 2016, at Alton Memorial Hospital. He was born on March 22, 1955, in Alton, the son of Donald “Gus” and Marigenne (Ryburn) Elliott of Bethalto. He married the former Mary Sumner on May 17, 1980, in Roxana, and she survives. Other survivors include two daughters and a son in law: Lindsay Elliott of Bethalto, Andrea and Jason McGuiggan of Bethalto, two grandchildren: Lillian and Cameron, and a brother and sister in law: Doug and Jaci Elliott of Houston, Texas. Jeffrey was formerly employed at Prairie Farms Dairy in St. Louis prior to his retirement. He attended New Hope Baptist Church in Rosewood Heights. In accordance with his wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. In celebration of his life, memorial visitation will be from 4pm to 8pm on Wednesday, January 4, 2017, at Pitchford Funeral Home in Wood River. Funeral services will be held at 10am on Thursday, January 5, 2017, at the funeral home. Rev. Frank Sparks will officiate. Inurnment will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
