Jerry Arthur Allsman

Alton: Jerry Arthur Allsman, 82, passed away at 7:30pm on Tuesday, January 12, 2021, at Anderson Hospital in Maryville. He was born on August 28, 1938, in Alton, the son of the late James J. and Ethel (Richardson) Allsman. He married the former Florence Rowland on August 30, 1958, at the Edwards Street Assembly of God Church in Alton and she preceded him in death on December 6, 2017. Survivors include his children and their spouses: Jill (Dave) Robinson of Bethalto, Jeff (Debbi McMahon) Allsman of Bethalto, Jerry (Vicky) Allsman of Alton, Scott (Beth) Allsman of Alhambra, his grandchildren: Megan Tyler of Godfrey, Josh (Dana) Robinson of Godfrey, Lindsay (Ben) Dugger of Bethalto, Stephanie (Jake) Terry of Worden, Jerremy Kirby of West Virginia, Jerilyn (Trevor) Kroeschel of Bethalto, Courtney (Caleb) Tindall of Godfrey, Cody Allsman of Alton, Andrew Allsman of Maryville, Emily Allsman of Alhambra, his great grandchildren: Macie Tyler of Godfrey, Josie Tyler of Godfrey, Hudson Robinson of Godfrey, Kendall Harrison of Godfrey, Mason Harrison of Godfrey, Emmi Dugger of Bethalto, Lexi Duggar of Bethalto, Saydi Terry of Worden, Osias Tindall of Godfrey, his twin brother: Larry Allsman of Godfrey, many nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends. Jerry was employed for almost thirty years at Owens Illinois Glass Company; then retiring from Bowl Haven Lanes. He was an avid catfish fisherman and coached his sons’ little league baseball teams. In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by his siblings: Robert Allsman, Violet Howes, Patsy Dieckman, James Allsman who passed at birth, Virginia Allsman who passed at birth, his grandparents: William Arthur Allsman & Gussie May (Osborn) Allsman and John R. Richardson & Lucy (Dillingham) Richardson. In celebration of his life, private family graveside services will be held at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
