Roodhouse: Jerry Dean Beavers, 66, passed away at 5:25am on Sunday, March 24, 2019, at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield. He was born on June 4, 1952, in Rosaclare, Illinois, the son of Audrey Ann (Daymon) Lawrence of Moro and the late Elza Franklin Beavers. He married Marcella Turner on May 5, 1970, in Jerseyville, and she survives. Other survivors include five daughters: Deanna Foster of Davenport, Iowa, Marla Beavers of Greenfield, Illinois, Donnell Tupper and her husband: Jeff of Roodhouse, Sally Beavers of Whitehall, Jerri Beavers of Jacksonville, Illinois, thirteen grandchildren: Dusten Beavers, Lyndeana Parsons, Kailee Dewbre, Josee Foster, Johnathon and Sabre Hayes, Victoria, Ashley, and Jessica Tupper, Billy III and Trenton Balcom, Ethan and Adam Beavers, thirteen great – grandchildren, a sister and brother in law: Sherri and Ron Smith of Roodhouse, three brothers and two sisters in law: Terry and Joyce Beavers of Roodhouse, Elza W. and Melanie Beavers of Staunton, Jeff Lawrence of Bethalto, one half sister and brother in law: Cindy and Bruno Bruhn, two half brothers and two sisters in laws: Larry and Kim Bertels, Joe and Cheryl Bertels, many nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends. Jerry was a carpenter and cement contractor by trade and was the jack of all trades. His love of the outdoors led him to fishing and hunting especially coon hunting. As well as teaching his grandchildren and great-grandchildren of his love for playing guitar and tending to his animals and his farm. In addition to his dad, he was preceded in death by his step – dad: Leslie Lawrence and his special brother in law and uncle: Doug Stimson and Royce Beavers. In celebration of his life, the family will hold a memorial from 2pm to 4pm on Sunday, March 31, 2019, at the First Baptist Church of Carrollton, 527 Church Street, Carrollton, Illinois 62016. Memorials are suggested to the family.
