John Adam Marshall

John Adam Marshall, 83, passed away at 2:23pm on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at LaBella of Alton. He was born on June 19, 1941, in St. Louis, the son of the late Adam and Jane (Dalton) Marshall. He married the former Phyllis Koenig on August 2, 1969, in Edwardsville, and she survives. Other survivors include a son: John Wayne Marshall of St. Louis, a sister: Glenda “Hawk” Elam, and many other extended family and friends.


John worked at Ford Motor Company for thirty years prior to his retirement on April 1, 1997. He and his wife are members of Crosspoint Church in Edwardsville. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving from 1963 to 1966.


In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, one brother, and a great nephew.


In celebration of his life, visitation will be from 9:30am until time of funeral services at 11am on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at Pitchford Funeral Home in Wood River. Pastor Tony Rangel will officiate. Burial will be at 1:30pm on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery with full military honors.


Memorials are suggested to Crosspoint Church and will be accepted at the funeral home.
