John J. Schaller

East Alton: John J. Schaller, 66, passed away at 8:20pm on Sunday, April 12, 2020, at Alton Memorial Hospital. He was born on December 19, 1953, in Alton, the son of the late Fred and Eva (Fowler) Schaller. He married the former Donna Seehausen on June 18, 1977, in Godfrey, and she survives. Other survivors include a daughter and son in law: Shannon and Brian Mary of Brighton, a son: Shane Schaller of East Alton, two grandchildren: Caleb Mary, Hannah Mary, a sister: Carol Mohr of Bunker Hill, and many other extended family and friends. John was formerly employed in sales at Artvan Furniture. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister: Joyce Currier. In accordance with his wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. Due to the Covid – 19 restrictions, a memorial visitation will be held at a later date. Memorials are suggested to the American Diabetes Association, the American Kidney Foundation, or to the American Heart Association.
