Joseph D. "Joe" Pfister

Wood River: Joseph D. “Joe” Pfister, 58, passed away at 8:46am on Sunday, March 11, 2018, at his residence. He was born on November 23, 1959, in St. Louis, Missouri, the son of the late Joseph E. and Gwen (Moyer) Pfister. He married the former Elaine Lawson on December 16, 1995, in Florissant, Missouri, and she survives. Other survivors include a daughter: Brittney Pfister of Cottleville, Missouri, five sons: Joseph Pfister and his wife: Katie of Cottleville, Missouri, Justin Pfister of Wood River, Phillip Lawrence and his companion: Kaleigh of Scott City, Missouri, Timothy Lawrence and his wife: Emily of Wood River, Brandon Lawrence and his wife: Sarah of Scott City, Missouri, five grandchildren, two sisters and a brother in law: Debbie Jordan of Oakville, Missouri, Lynn and Michael Fuller of Springfield, Missouri, one brother and sister in law: Kurt and Mary Pfister of Kimberling City, Missouri, many nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends. Joe was employed at Beelman Trucking as a driver for almost fifteen years. In celebration of his life, visitation will be from 4pm to 8pm on Thursday, March 15, 2018, at Pitchford Funeral Home in Wood River. Following visitation and in accordance with his wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. Memorials are suggested to the family and will be accepted at the funeral home.
